On October 29, 2021, I boarded the Marion Dufresne with the sub-Antarctic islands of Kerguelen as my final destination. After 13 days at sea, I finally landed on the “Desolation Island”, my home for the next 6 months, where I'll be carrying out several protocols as a behavioral biologist for the French Polar Institute on the little creatures of this archipelago teeming with life.
